Planet Ceville:

This is the planet that the main character Trinculo is from. The history of this planet is quite rich so I’ve made an entire section for it. Some of the details will be featured in the game’s plot. There is quite a lot of details for only one planet. However, the other planet’s info and such will be much more easier to digest.

Planet Ceville is inhabited by the Azhadi. In present day, Planet Ceville is divided up into three major continents. The West, The East, and the South. These three continents are all inhabited by the Azhadi and are ruled by varying number of kingdoms per continent. The west is the largest continent, the south is the second largest, and the east is the smallest continent. There is actually one continent which is referred to as the “Lost Continent” since it’s completely uninhabitable. This lost continent is actually the largest continent on the planet but since it’s a waste land it’s generally not included. Before the Purviya Wars, the majority of civilizations were found on the Lost Continent which was the largest continent on the planet.

The Azhadi:

The Azhadi are a species much like humans. They share the same anatomy and common traits as well. The major difference between Azhadi and humans are their enhanced abilities to control their five senses more effectively. This is an innate ability that comes naturally at birth. Over the generations though, this genetic dominance seems to have become much weaker over time. This may have indirectly been caused by the changing times. Because the Azhadi used their enhanced senses most actively during battle, the absence of war (over 300 years) may just be the root cause of their seemingly weakened state.

The Purviya Wars:
These wars occurred 300 years before the Age Of Wonders. In this time, 80% of the world’s population lived on the West continent. The entire continent was divided in to what is known as the King’s Territory (KT). The king is the most revered position that one can obtain. The Azhadi were much more aggressive in these times and thus the king had to be strongest Azhadi in order to control a King’s Territory. Once a person receives this honorable title, the people generally comply to the king’s rulings without question.

Age Of Wonders:
This is the modern age, post Purviya Wars. This new age brought with it new technology, culture, science, lifestyles, and a global union. Trade amongst the continents is now a common practice and even the common folk can travel the world. The Azhadi have always been plagued with problems largely due to their primitive nature. Because of this, the rulers have always controlled their borders very tightly and monitored their populace. The armies of each Kingdom were trained to be a dominant force. A strong army was needed to control the people and to protect them from outside forces. These methods are still used by the ruling kings; However, the people have become much more doctile since the days of the chaotic wars. The Purviya wars have vastly changed the Azhadi civilization, and in turn, it also sparked a revolution.

The Four Kingdoms (Pre-Purviya Wars):
In these times, there were four kingdoms. The North Kingdom Solace, commonly referred to as the Sun Empire as the region primarily conisted of deserts. The Central Kingdom Celeste, this kingdom was also known as the Might Kingdom for it’s sheer size (including population and the landmass itself). The East Kingdom Opa, which was also referred to as the Oceania Kingdom as it was bountiful with water. Finally, the South Kingdom of Innis Fall, which hadwinter year round. These four kingdoms were situated on what is now called the Lost Continent. At the time however, this contintent was named Orphreys.

The Invaders:
This is a general label given to the opposing factions, clans, or cults that seek to overthrow the ruling powers.  There were three major groups.

The Invader Factions:

 quries1

The Quries:
These were Azhadi who considered themselves superior intellects. They believe that anything can be overcome with the mind. This group honed their skills and developed many supernatural techniques. They developed the skill to move at very fast speeds. They also developed techniques to manipulate one’s vision making this group very hard to battle with. There are rumors that the Quries can even control the minds of their opponent. However, this rumor has never been proven. Trained in martial arts, the Quries fought quite well barehanded. They typically used light weapons such as daggers and utilized their quick speed to subdue their opponent.

The Quries were successful in taking over Opa The East Kingdom. They took over the empire without waging war or by utilizing their small army of elites. Instead the group infiltrated the royal ranks and started to spread rumors. One of the rumors was that the king had planned to relinquish his power to the tyrant king Granken, who was known as the devilish king of the of The Might Kingdom Celeteste. There were many other rumors as well, even carefully planned ruses which left the people of Opa very suspicious of the current king. Shortly after the Quries were given the task by the king himself to find the culprits who were spreading the rumors – The Quries turned on the king. With the King’s full resources available to them, they publicly announced that the king had already signed documents relinquishing his power to the Might Kingdom and even provided fake documents. The public, proud Azhadi people, were completely outraged by this. The document were publicly ripped in half by the Quries themselves and they proclaimed that they would rather die then turn over the kingdom to savages. One of the Quries was then crowned as the King of Opa. He pledged that he would protect the East Kingdom from the enemies of tommorow.

gants

The Gants:
This group were the most violent out of the three opposing factions. They had developed techniques to harden their bodies, increase their body size, and even screech at pitches that could destroy ear drums (which was known as their battle cry). This group had the largest army of the Invaders. They used no particular style in hand to hand combat and were really unpredictable. The members of this group prefer to use brute weapons such as Broad Swords, Hammers, and Axes.

The Gants claimed the Might Kingdom through Guerrilla Warfare. They utilized the mountain and Forrest terrain to their advantage and periodically attacked all corners of the gigantic central kingdom, Celeste. The Gants even had supporters from within the walls of the kingdom, the Azhadi who despised the tyrant cruel tyrant king Graken.  Eventually, the Gants were blessed with the opportunity to attack the castle from within the walls with the aid of their supporters. Their tactics from here were very concise and effective. Once The Gants penetrated the castle walls, their large army quickly forced King Graken to surrender. The Gants did not stop there however. Soon after their glorious victory in the central kingdom Celeste, they launched an overwhelming attack on the North Kingdom Of Solace. The Solace Kingdom tried their best to draw them back behind their borders but their attempts were futile. The North Kingdom Of  Solace fell at the hands of the Gants and sufferin heavy casualties.

Things were going great for this clan. They conquered both the central kingdom and the northern kingdom. In light of their success, the Gants did not attempt to conquer the the Quries of the East Kingdom of Opa. The Quries were a allusive clan and used many non conventional methods of warefare. The Gants pure strength alone did not gauranteed them success had they attempted to claim Opa for themselves. The Gants decided not to try to expand their territory by heading east. The two clans sign treaties to ensure peace amongst the two kingdoms. Both the Quries and Gants were not interested in the Southern Kingdom Of Innis Fall. Innis Fall were not included in any of the agreements made among these two clans.

hawks

The Hawks:
These are foreign tribal Azhadi who’ve come from the far off eastern continent. The Hawks were Azhadi who were banished from their land for their demonic practices. These Azhadi had fused themselves with birds and lizards, they even practiced forms of cannibalism. The Hawks gained the ability to fly through their exotic experiments. They honed their skills and eventually became lethal flying spear warriors. They could cut air with their wings and their limbs. They were also able to control/manipulate the surrounding air and create vacuums. The Hawks were deadly close range fighters that used both their hands and wings to battle their foe in close quarters. They prefer to use spears in close battles and bows as ranged weapons. This group were the third largest clan out of the Invaders. As the clan grew, they soon acquired the power to take back their land from the people who had banished them. However, the clan decided to start a new life else where and continued their tribal practices.

The Hawks travelled over the ocean from the east continent and found themselves in the west continent. By the time they had come though, the Quries and Gants have already established their empires. The Hawks tried to take over Innis Fall, the Southern Kingdom. However, try as they might, they were never successful. Some say it was the rough terrain and freezing temperatures, something these primitive Azhadis were not used to. Other say that the Hawks were just not strong enough and didn’t have the strength to defeat Innis Fall. In any case, the Hawks were a major problem for the people of Innis Fall. The battles waged amongst between these two groups caused many casualties on both sides. The battle continued for many years and the war ended as a deadlock between the two.

Great Fall:
Great fall is what caused the west continent Ophreys to explode and tear into two. The larger portion became an uninhabitable barren wasteland. The smaller portion, mostly consisting of what was the eastern portion where the East Kingdom Opa was situated, became the new west continent. The contintent was later renamed Telvus. During this event, 60% of the world’s population was destroyed. Solace, Celeste, and Innis Fall were almost completely wipe off the map, most of the casualties came from these regions. The land of the three kingdom’s were covered with gigantic crators and all that was left was rubble and death. Opa did not have as many casualties, but the land mass tore off from the rest of the former west continent. The survivors, mostly civilians from Opa or Oceania documented the event and it had eventually became a legend.

After Great Fall:
The time after the Purviya Wars and Great Fall were rough. Many people believed that this was a sign for change. The survivors re-established their territories and the East Kingdom was divided as per the truce treaties signed with The Gants which entailed that “In an emergency, the most powerful nation will be the one to responsible to balance the power amongst the nations.” This part of the treaty was suggested by the Quries themselves and they honoured this act. The Hawks and members of the Souther Kingdom were not included in this treaty but they were mildly accommodated.
